Project Description
Melissa Pantel-Ku LISW-S earned a bachelor’s degree from Bryn Mawr College and a PhD from Georgetown
University (political science) before changing gears to pursue clinical social work. She graduated from the
Mandel School at Case Western Reserve University and trained in the psychodynamic psychotherapy program at
the Cleveland Psychoanalytic Center. Melissa has also pursued training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders
through the Postpartum Stress Center (Rosemont, PA).
Melissa previously worked at CWRU’s counseling center, providing individual and group psychotherapy to young
adults. Her clinical interests include the transitions associated with young adulthood; mood disorders; anxiety; perfectionism; women’s issues across the lifespan; and coping with cancer. She works with clients aged 16 and up.
