Lauren Plott has practiced as a psychotherapist since 2002, previously working in the field of nutrition and dietetics.  She provides individual psychotherapy for clients 16 years and older, with particular experience in addressing the stress and unhappiness associated with depression, anxiety, difficulties adjusting, physical illness, loss, trauma, and disordered eating.

Lauren holds two master’s degrees from Case Western Reserve University, including a social work degree from the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences.  She has worked as a psychotherapist in hospital, community, and private practice settings.  Lauren approaches the work with a psychodynamic psychotherapy orientation (insight development), incorporating cognitive behavioral strategies and prior experience with dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), as needed.
