Maxene Zion is a magna cum laude graduate of Case Western Reserve University Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences. She has completed a three-year post graduate Gestalt training program and has received advanced training in eye movement desensitization & reprocessing (EMDR). She also has completed specialized imago training to work with couples experiencing marital discord. She is a published researcher on compulsive gambling.
Maxene has worked in private practice for the past 20 years and has run groups for individuals with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). Presently she is studying sign language in order to better serve hearing impaired and deaf clients. Maxene enjoys working with adults & geriatric clients. Her specialty interests include depression, anxiety including panic disorders & OCD, grief counseling, stress, marital discord, post traumatic stress disorder, women’s issues and issues of aging & retirement.
