Anna Janicki, M.D. a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst for children, adolescents and adults, has been in private practice since 1981. She specializes in brief and long-term dynamic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor, Department of Psychiatry, CWRU. She is active in the training of psychiatric residents at the University Hospitals. Dr. Janicki was board certified in adult psychoanalysis in 2002 and appointed Adult Training and Supervising Psychoanalyst by the Board of Professional Standards of the American Psychoanalytic Association in 2004.

Working with both children and adults, Dr. Janicki’s areas of professional interest include chronic anxiety; dealing with losses: depression, bereavement, fostering, and adopting; processing of trauma- PTSD acute and chronic, developmental trauma; gender Issues- female and male psychology, LGBT concerns; hatred and shame dynamics; mind, behavior and brain, Neuroscience and psychotherapy; teaching and supervision of mental health professionals.
