Karal Stern is dually licensed as a clinical social worker and chemical dependency counselor with over 40 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings.
Karal’s collaborative approach focuses on empowering people to gain a deeper understanding of their situations and recognizes their strengths. This will enable them to make better choices, communicate their needs, establish wellness practices to better manage daily life and create meaningful connections.
She earned a BSW from Cleveland State University followed by a Masters Degree from Mandel School of Applied Social Science. Her clinical interests and training include the treatment of anxiety and mood disorders; stressful and traumatic losses and life events; relationship issue’s; addictive behaviors, including substance use disorders; and challenges of aging. Karal has received additional training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Heart Centered Hypnotherapy.
